Nether Stowey is an interesting and attractive village and has many surviving mediaeval buildings.
Castle Street, where Damson Cottage is situated, leads up to the remains of Stowey Castle high above, where sheep now safely graze. From here you have views over the Quantocks, to the Mendips, to the sea and over to Wales.
